After that delicious Spanish Tortilla let’s move on to our next treat for today, this one is great for children but also for grown-ups who still feel young inside!
Let’s make some chicken shells!
What you need:
Butter
Salt
Milk
Flour
Leftover roast chicken
Some funny shaped trays
Cut the chicken into small bits and leave on the side for now.
Make the bechamel sauce by melting some butter, add flour and keep stirring with a whisk on low heat.
Once done mix the chicken bits with the sauce and place on the shell trays.
Sprinkle breadcrumbs on top and then cook in the oven for 10 minutes.
Once they are out of the oven let the trays cool for a bit and then serve.
I hope you enjoy this little treat, it really took me back to my childhood.

I’m sure the ponytails would love this dish baked in shells — they love food with creamy sauces! I might add a bit of cheese on top before cooking.
Thank you very much for following my blog!
I’m sure they would, my friends have 2 young boys and they like this dish as well.
My friends made this for their children and I loved and I had to share it with everyone.
You cannot go wrong with cheese and let me know if you make it. I’d love to hear what your little girls had to say about it!
This is definitely a kid-friendly meal, Tudor, but if you put it into a more classic dish, perhaps a Le Creuset mini casserole, it would be good for adults too!
Hi Eva! Thanks for the comment. That is very true, it’s a great meal and really easy to make. Helps get rid of any chicken leftovers and as the Profiteroles & Ponytails suggested to add some cheese, that would work really well.
How fun—I adore this idea! =)
